Sara was wordlessly cleaning up the mess around the living quarters, which generally meant putting her things back the way they were and putting other people's things that had been thrown down the hall in neat little piles outside their doors. Her necklace was nowhere to be found. Of course that was the case; after all, it had gone missing even before the ghost had returned and started trying to kill them. At least she still had Emily, and without a scratch on her, too.

"What a mess," she declared to no one but the doll in a far more expressive voice than one would expect to hear from the drywall Sara Cruz. "What in the world was he thinking?"

Isshin had decided to drop into the living quarters on a whim - he hadn't been able to get to the lunch that Shinjiro had made up due to being far more busy with his own things, but knowing the crew well enough it wasn't too surprising to walk in upon the rather messy room when he entered. What did surprise him though was the teenager (and her doll) who was currently cleaning up the place. Now that was a sight he didn't get to see everyday.

"Good afternoon, Sara-chan!" he went in his usual happy voice, all smiles and sunshine as always when he spotted the girl. "How goes the cleaning?"

Sara blinked and looked up, quickly subduing her expression to the usual blank one she gave everyone else. "All right." She hesitated before saying anything more. "What was he trying to do?"

The man blinked at the question, confusion clear on his features. "He?" Who was this he that the other was talking about?

Sara stood to attention, regarding him as seriously as she could. "The person who made this mess. The ghost."

Ah, the ghost. So that was who she was talking about. Now that they were clear on that, Isshin could go on with the conversation.

"You mean Jean Morris-san? It is quite surprising that he's managed to haunt the ship for so long and nobody noticed..." Or rather, how neither Ryuuken nor I noticed it. We really must be getting on our ages. It really was quite... surprising, this whole issue.

Sara nodded. "I don't know why he decided to attack us now, or at all--!" She seemed to startle at her own words, and went silent. Morris wasn't the only person she could say that about. Emily, being quite haunted herself but unable to actually move or do anything, seemed to settle for falling over onto the mess.

...now that was somewhat surprising.

"I don't know myself either," he admitted with a sigh. "Its really quite a surprise." And unlike the other, this was true - the man really didn't know why this had happened. It had been said that Morris had died in an accident, after all. So why was he haunting the ship still when his death was accidental...? Unless... well, the death wasn't accidental at all. Then that would beget the question of just why was the man killed in the first place.

He was going to have to talk to Ryuuken later.

She frowned. "It doesn't make sense." That said, she propped her doll back up and fixed her hair before going back to cleaning up the mess. "Even if he thought he were killed, like Mr. Ichimaru said, he waited until now to attack us."

The words seemed slightly forced out. This sort of thing would have been easier to talk about before.

Isshin could only make a somewhat exasperated sound and scratch the back of his head awkwardly at that. It was quite hard to talk about things like these when you were pretending you didn't know jack about the supernatural... still, he had been at this for a long time already, and he could handle something like this quite easily with enough practice and time.

"Well, I don't know anything about ghosts and all..." the man started, the smile on his face slowly getting bigger as he went on. "But at least it's over with, right? That's all that matters."

For now, at least.

"All right." She nodded. She didn't know anything about ghosts, either -- nothing besides what Gin had told her about Emily, anyway. There was a pause before she awkwardly coughed. She didn't know if that was really all that mattered, but obviously, she didn't want to say it.

"...Did you know him?"

The man sent the girl a curious look with the question. "Jean Morris-san? No, I didn't know him personally. Why?" This was certainly quite the question out of the blue after all.

She shrugged. "I don't know about ghosts, either. It could have just been his own decision to wait this long, ghost or not."

"Well then!" Isshin started with a grin, looking quite happy even with the topic they were discussing. "Then I guess we'll never know what happened, will we? Only the person himself would know."

She went silent. He seemed happy about this. How could he be? Someone had just tried to kill them. Sara went back to cleaning things.

Isshin was only happy because that was how he usually was - the man wasn't one to let things like this get to him, oh no. That wasn't anyway to live life! One just had to learn how to let things go and live it well to the fullest.

Looking at Sara, the man only stayed silent for a few moments before speaking up again. "Need any help with this, Sara-chan?" He had some spare time after all, and it wasn't any good for someone to do something like this all by herself.
