Jinkston was a one-horse town, where the single horse in residence was a nag that jealously guarded her title. One of the many small towns that were scattered all over the Badlands, Jinkston was a collection of no more than fifty buildings with wide, dusty streets. It had no real dock to speak of, and only three shops (often in fierce competition) to cater to the residents. What the town made, it mostly made for itself, the farmers and ranchers that lived there working tirelessly to eke a living out in the near-barren soil.
There were plenty of sheep there, of course - in fact, they outnumbered the townsfolk. Most of them were penned up, but a few of the smaller farms simply let their sheep wander around unsupervised.
A ship like the Winding Way showing up was big news for Jinkston. Despite the heat of the day, more and more of the residents opted for sitting on their porches or even straying clcose to the ship, everyone wanting to get a closer look. There was also a group of townsfolk that was paying much less attention to the ship, rushing all over in their search for the Golden Fleece. The mayor, Adelphos Dunward, could be found with them, alternatively shaking his hands or cursing the trouble it's caused.
