Content:  Without injuries that require him to stay in the infirmary, Yami's vacated the bed to get out of Watson's and the other doctors' way.  However, he's on medical leave for the moment, what with his dominant arm fractured . . . not that there's much he could do until the new engine room

Another kitten, a bit older than Yami's, meandered inside. Gwendal followed her closely behind, making sure she didn't want too far. The kitten hopped onto the table and toppled into the chess board. Gwendal sighed and turned to Yami, who had two rather adorable kittens on him. He fought down the blush and coughed lightly. "I apologize," He said, picking Rosh up. "She still seems to like exploring everything. I hope she didn't ruin the game too badly for you."

((OOC: Is Rosh from the litter that Raidou had found? If so, I'll need to age up my two for consistancy. Raidou had told Yami the kittens were two weeks old when they first talked, and I was just guessing on the amount of game time that's /actually/ passed since then. ^,^;;;))

Yami had been intent enough on his list - and his senses dulled just enough by painkillers and antibiotics - that he didn't notice the soft sound of footsteps nor the movement on his periphery until the kitten popped up over the edge of the small table and knocked over a few of the far chess pieces. He jumped a bit in spite of himself, then looked up with a grin at the voice, nonchalantly turning the notepad facedown. "Gwendal," he murmured with a nod by way of greeting, then shook his head. "Not my game. The board was like that when I sat down-" Well, except for the knight. "-probably abandoned when Morris started to cause the serious problems." He frowned a little at a thought, asking in concern. "Speaking of which, how are you feeling?"

[[OOC: Yeah, she is. I figured she was older if only because it's been more than a few weeks since getting a kitten? That and two weeks awfully young o.O]]

Gwendal shook his head, sitting opposite from the table and letting Rosh crawl around his broad shoulders and neck. "I'm fine, I just needed to rest and regain the mana I lost."

He hated that his mana was tied to his energy. It made using it all the more dire when it approached critical levels. Not to mention to made Gwendal feel like crap afterwards. And poor Watson was worried out of his mind and fussing over him.

I think that's why Raidou took them in, iirc, cuz they'd lost their mother and were /way/ too young to leave alone. *shrug* Heh, guess I'm kinda sensitive to noticing the ages and what's needed cuz I've raised kittens myself from /extremely/ young - one litter was a week old when found, the other no more than a day to day-and-a-half. XD;;;]]

Yami nodded. "That's good to know." He grinned as his attention shifted to the other kitten. "What's her name?"

"Rosh," Gwendal answered, catching the kitten easily when she fell from his shoulder. It was as though he was used to this kind of thing. "Yours?"

[OOC: Oh, you're right, they shouldn't! Kittens either...unless something's happened to the mother, which was the impression I got from Raidou-mun. Mine IRL litters - the day-old litter was abandoned after a tom found the nest and tried to kill the kittens (only one of the three survived - she's now 11yrs ^_^), the week-old litter was found after their mother was hit by a car. TT~TT Bacterial infections killed two, the survivor is now 6yrs. Normally, kittens start to wean about 5-6 weeks and shouldn't be separated from mom before 8 weeks. =3]Yami chuckled at the seemingly-practiced motion. Yes, he was getting adept at the same. "Little rascal here - " He scratched at the kitten on his shoulder, which stirred, yawned, stretched, and looked up at the newcomer. " - is Horus, and this one is Khnum

Gwendal was already pushed the paw ready to play with his own dark gray bangs, used to this by now. He didn't even need to look over. "Interesting names," He said, pushing the paw away again.

Yami grinned softly to himself, noting the similar behaviors. Well, they were the same age and species, and litter-mates to boot.

He nodded. "Unusual, I know. They're the names of gods from the Lore of Kemet. The religion isn't widely known or practiced anymore, from what I understand, but it's the one I was raised under." He shrugged, then tilted his head as he wondered aloud, "And 'Rosh'?"
