It's some sort of morbid fascination. )

It was Arthur's room, but it was obvious that Itou was not comfortable with having Roy around at all. He turned to regard Itou, as if asking what he should do. He didn't mind talking to Roy at all.

Then he regarded Roy again. "If there's something you need to do at this second, then by all means."

Despite the urgent need to tell Arthur to kick the man out, he took the high road and shrugged, as if saying, go ahead and invite him in. Arthur did as he wanted. He felt it would be tasteless to make him choose.

Anyway, Mustang was better at getting Arthur to calm down.

More telegraphic glances? Interesting... and also a little worrisome. Who Arthur chose to be with normally wouldn't have been any business of his, but that it was Itou made all the difference.

As such, Roy smiled, said his thanks, and walked right in.

The tension was thick enough to cut with a knife. Arthur let a small, silent sigh escape him and forced a small smile in Roy's direction.

"You're going to fix the door then? It'd be nice to not have to worry about Bonnefoy."

His loathing was temporarily derailed by that and he shook his head. "It was a surprise, finding him in my bed. The man is fortunate to still be alive after all the people he's assaulted."

"I can try to. Else, I'll get someone else to finish what I started."

Roy turned about, looking at the door frame. The damage wasn't nearly as bad as the others he had seen, which was good. One had to count their blessings when there wasn't much else to be had.

"I doubt that he meant it," the alchemist remarked, in response to Itou's comment. "I know of a few soldiers who used to sleepwalk."

"I really don't care if he meant it or not," Arthur replied. "If he had gotten in my bed I would have gutted him like a fish."

"It's fortunate that he wasn't in your bed, then," he put in, although he was of the opinion that Arthur might find Francis more tolerable if he slept with the man. At any rate, that was how he and Arthur seemed to get along.

There was work to be done and he wasn't one to stand around and just wait for it to finish itself, so he made his way to Mustang despite his grievances and offered his assistance.

...Was Itou actually going to help him? Roy raised an eyebrow and lightly smirked at the man before accepting the assistance.

"I don't have a toolbox on me, Arthur. Do you mind if I weld some of the stuff in temporarily until I can get another guy to fix it up right?"

It was a good thing that Arthur could not hear what Itou was thinking. He probably would have killed him. Francis was the last person Arthur would sleep with. Ever.

"Weld?" he asked, looking over at Roy. If Roy didn't have a toolbox, then how would he weld the door?

Francis was a lot better than Mustang, in Itou's opinion. At least he man was blond and not at all irritating.

Itou held up the door, expecting the boatswain to snap some fire on it or something. This time, he'd make sure to watch carefully.

And Roy, of course, was perfectly fine with putting on a show for Itou. The man tugged on his gloves, and got to work, with small, precise snaps of his fingers.

"..."

Arthur must have not been paying enough attention, for this was the first time he'd seen Roy use his powers. Was that magic? Was Roy a demi-human? It excited him.

Itou ignored the both of them for the moment to focus on Mustang's hand. It was an interesting skill. He wished he had some sort of timer to measure how fast the reaction was.

"This should do," he remarked after a moment, testing the door.

"You think so?"

Roy stepped back to survey his work. The alchemist gave it a single once over and tested the integrity of the whole thing with a few pushes to the door before nodding. He moved to pull his gloves off again, and return them to their place in the back pocket of his pants.
