"You're right, he is dumb," he replied with a small frown, trying to wrap his head around that conversation. He could pass it off as the kid having difficulties communicating, but he sure made Itou feel like he had good social skills.

Good thing, at that. The way they were acting around each other and the whole incident had been rather telling. Now seemed like the ideal time to reveal himself, however, and that was exactly what Roy did.
Roy knocked on the empty doorframe of Arthur's room, in order to announce his presence.
"Mind if I crash the party?"

"..." He didn't even know what to say.

"Yes, Mustang, we mind," Itou snapped. Of course, Arthur had the last say in the matter. Itou should really, really get back to that friendly persona he was trying to cultivate, but Mustang had startled him and Itou did not take that sort of thing very well.
