Characters: Dimo and Maxim
Content: Dimo wakes Maxim up really, really early in the morning, telling him that they're going on a trip. Doesn't mention that it's for a mini-vacation/camping trip just for the two of them until later. It's a surprise, after all!
Setting: Maxim and Dimo's quarters, and from there out to the Badlands
Time: way, way early in the morning. Before sunrise.

Dimo had already packed the majority of the things that they'd need the night before. The full pack had been secreted away in the back of the closet, where Maxim was unlikely to look after a long and tiring night of guard duty. They'd gone to bed as usual, but Dimo had napped in the afternoon, and was ready to wake Maxim up at a truly ridiculous time in the morning.
One eye opened a crack, and Dimo saw with satisfaction that it wasn't even sunrise yet. Perfect. As stealthily as he could, he got up, got dressed, and then shook Maxim roughly by the shoulder. "Hoy, Maxim, vake op! Ve gots to get going!"
