Dimo was out for a bit of a walk himself. It was nice to get out and stretch his legs, and to enjoy exploring the town and the surrounding woods. He'd been out for a couple of hours already, and was just heading back into the town from being in the forest for most of that time. Seeing Kambei strolling along ahead of him, he decided to greet the stern-looking samurai.

Walking up nonchalantly to Kambei's side, Dimo nodded a greeting to him. "Nize out today, eh? Goot time for a valk."

Not surprised to see a fellow crew mate out here and exploring the town, the samurai gave Dimo a slight nod of acknowledgment once he fell into stride beside him. "Yes, perhaps nicer than the other days so far." Kambei replied with a faint smile.

Trying his best to keep his coughs at bay, the samurai was quick to shift the conversation over towards the seaman. Kambei was mildly curious to hear what Dimo and the others are up to, especially after meeting Jenka a while ago in Berum. The Jägers must have been bored of Bydan already; this small town is much quieter and less rowdy than the capital.

“Dimo, I trust you have been enjoying your stay here.”

From the raspy note to his voice, it was obvious to Dimo that Kambei had some sort of sore throat. He didn't remember the samurai sounding like that before, so it must be something relatively recent. Hopefully, something that Mamma's medicines and/or threats of what she would inflict upon him if he didn't get well could fix.

Dimo glanced around at the buildings on either side of the street, smiled a little himself, and nodded, his hands in the pockets of his knee-length brown vest. "I iz glad dot zometing vent right for de ship for vonce," he said, "und iz nize to have a long break und to unvind. Bydan reminds me a little of vhere I grew up. Schtill, it vill be even better to be back up in de air, vith a new job to do."

Now if Dimo wasn’t already immortal would have to fear the samurai’s wrath if he was to tell Mamma Gkika of his cold. The last thing he wanted was to be the guinea pig to one of Gkika’s elaborate potions. Just because he managed to survive the last dosage of toxin that fiendish woman tossed at him, doesn’t mean he is about to trust Gkika with his health.

Paranoid? No, just wiser than the next man…

“Already so anxious to fly again, Dimo?” Kambei asked with a faint chuckle that ended up becoming a few haggard coughs.

"A little bit," Dimo admitted as they walked along. "I iz already done vith de map dot I vas vorking on for dis place, und dere's only zo much hunting hyu can do vithout vanting zometing to kill vhat's more of a fair fight den a bear." He shook his head in mock sadness, chuckling at the thought of the scroungy creature he'd just run into. "Dey's all scared of me dese days."

The moment that Kambei started coughing and hacking, though, Dimo stopped in place and regarded him curiously. "Vhat de hell happened to hyu? Hyu zounds like zomevun lined hyu throat vith sandpaper vhen hyu vasn't looking." He shuddered. "I know dot I hates vhen pipple does dot."

Dimo’s comment about the sandpaper raised more question than answers for Kambei actually entertained himself with the thought of Dimo hacking up actual sand. Pushing the mildly humorous thought aside, the samurai let out a sigh. “I’ve been unwell since our lightning harvesting work, probably a slight cold.” He explained quickly before falling back into stride again. Kambei had no destination in mind; he was just enjoying the cool breeze.

“I wonder…” The samurai glanced over to Dimo with a smirk. “Do Jägers even become ill? Or is that something only mortals have to worry about?”

"I hazn't been sick since I joined up," Dimo remarked cautiously. "I tink part of it iz de Jagerdraught itzelf, und part iz fear of vhatever Mamma keeps in dot medicine cabinet of hers." That smirk on Kambei's face made him laugh a little, but it also worried him. "Vhy hyu ask?"
