Hijikata had just passed by said establishment when it happened, the sudden noise of glass shattering into a thousand hundred pieces all too attention grabbing. The boatswain turned around, hand instinctively going to the hilt of his sword and ready to attack anyone in his way when he noticed the kimono-clad figure that just landed on the floor, followed by a bunch of... shady looking men who were all walking out of the place, cracking knuckles and everything that stereotypical bad guys did

Normally Hijikata, being the unaffectionate and completely attentive gentlemen he was, would shove away the ladies who did such... actions on him. No offence to them, but the boatswain was never one for things that his elder cousin was always up to. Partly because he'd been more than grossed out by what he had already seen, but also because he just didn't have the mood for such... activities.

But this was a special case - a lady was being harassed and justice needed to be served. The man only cast a glance down at the silver-haired lady and nodded bluntly before directing his attention back towards all forty-two of the thugs (how the hell were there so many? He sure didn't remember seeing so many of them earlier).

"If you guys want to live, then I suggest you scram now, before you pay for your mistakes... with your life." The warning was obvious in his voice - if they decided to attack regardless of the warning, then they'd be sure to feel the wrath of his blade.
