Content: After another (not) date, L and Vash exchange gifts. Ryuzaki didn't tell anyone it was his birthday!
Setting: The Winding Way - Captain's Quarters
Time: Night before Long Night
Warnings: Smidge of Baww.
The last of the finishing touches for the Long Night celebration were going on now. Even though Gunsmoke wasn't open for business yet the tables and chairs were around and a very crude 'bar' was i place. It had been snazzed up with various decorations and the like to hide how incomplete it was, but it was solid enough to serve as a place to pick up and pay for food.
He was just getting back from dinner with Vash. They'd had a nice dinner at a soda fountain. Vash had taken him in repayment for his own dinner trip out. L occasionally drank soda - although the fizz was sometimes distracting - but he hadn't had any of the variety of sandwiches. He'd had a very small bites of a ham sandwich and had loaded up on ginger spice cake and pumpkin pie.
Shoes in hand, now, he smiled at all the progress.
"I believe we will be ready for the evening. Everything is in place."
