26. Your perfect night out
A sunset cruise on one of Toronto's harbour cruise ships, preferably one of the tall ships! Then go to a restaurant we've never been to before, have a couple drinks, maybe go to a concert or something.
27. Whether you like to plan ahead or be spontaneous
I actually like both of these. Planning ahead gives me time to prepare and I like looking forward to things! On the other hand, being spontaneous has led me on some pretty cool adventures.
28. What you look for in a friend
Respect, honesty, a great sense of humour, understanding, and a strong desire to have fun on a whim. Sharing some of my interests is great, too.
29. Whether you’re a night owl or a morning lark
Oh, DEFINITELY a night owl. I've been that way for about ten years now! XD
30. How you would like people to remember you
I really want to inspire people, make them feel good/beautiful, and just do something to bring a little more kindness into this dark, cruel world. I want to be remembered as a person who did that, who loved life and shared her passions with everyone around her.
Yesterday the Clickety Clack Express (Jeff, Elisa and I) explored Scarborough. We went to Ribfest, where I bought a couple hair accessories that are likely better suited for someone ten years my junior, and then to check out the Bluffs which I had never before seen.
The day was SO. EFFING. HOT. It felt like 107*F by the time we left Scarberia. The AC in Jeff's car wasn't doing very well. When I got home, I found out that Mike was picking us up for Kent's housewarming party, and I was VERY grateful for that. Woo for being lazy and overheated!
Kent's new apartment is really nice! It's located at Yonge & Empress, on the second floor of the building, and it has a long row of screened windows in the living/dining area and a nice little balcony amongst several big trees. The trees almost completely hide Yonge Street. His new kitten, who he got from our rescue, is a dear and I brought him several catnip-infused toys that Elisa made at work. The place is perfect for a young working man and his cat :)
We spent a lot of time out on the balcony because the apartment was so hot. A big storm rolled up from the lake and hit with a torrential downpour, wind, and LOTS of lightning. It was really refreshing after the stagnant day we'd had, but while it cooled the air down, it did nothing for the apartment itself. We were sweating buckets in there!
After the storm moved off, Monica, Nicole, Nicole's brother Corey, Cathy, Mike, and I walked down to Ten Ren and got bubble tea. Monica paid for mine because I don't have the moolah yet, so I got one of their popular Zodiac drinks. Cancer is chocolate banana, and it was delicious! Monica's zodiac is strawberry grape, and Cathy's is stawberry banana. We shared our drinks with each other and, well, yum!! I definitely went over my carb limit!
Oh yeah, speaking of carbs and stuff. So I got my ass back into gear and have gotten REALLY serious about losing weight. I started up the 30 Day Shred dvd again and damned if I didn't give myself nasty shin splints. So now I'm doing walking and a lot of upper body/core workouts until my legs are no longer swollen and aching. I've done really well these past few days, except for yesterday evening with that bubble tea.
This is turning into a novel, isn't it? :P
I have no idea what's going on this week, except for Wednesday when Jeff, Elisa and I drive up to Tobermory. This is Elisa's summer vacation :) Trevor's working five days a week and has full weekends off, which is pretty awesome indeed.
