So, the door at work is broken. My store is right by the door. Security puts a sign on the broken door, reading, "Please use other entrance."
Do people? No. They don't. Leaving me to assume they are all illiterate or thoughtless. Maybe both.
Every time that door opens (and doesn't close on its own, because it is broken, we get blasted with cold air. Leaving me to hate all people.
To the point where I clarified to my manager, "You're not people. You're my co-workers. There's a difference."
To the point where at one instance I mumbled rather loudly, "Close that door before I have an asthma attack. Because I will, and I'm sending you my hospital bills." (One of my regulars heard me, he just shook his head and sort of chuckled.) To the point I was bribing customers with free coffee if they'd close the door on someone.
Didn't work. Back to wearing 18 layers, I suppose. Could be worse.
(Really, I'm just keeping busy.)
