So we have been doing holiday-ish stuff...

l

Friday, we aquired a Christmas Tree. z Saturday, did various shopping and then went to our office holiday parties. b Of course, they were on the same day again this year. At least they weren't at exactly the same time... k's party was at a restaurant as it is a very small company. We had some appetizers and drinks and then headed to the next party. It was at Flint Hill again. We got there about an hour after the official start time. It turned out to be just right, as the dinner started pretty much immediately. The food was pretty tasty and the party was fun, although it ended pretty early i suppose. There vas an amusing game of musical chairs. We bet on Ezra, but he didn't some through this time. Or maybe we didn't. Whatever... Anyways, we headed to Mandie and Sam's afterwards and hung out with folks and made a lame gingerbread house. It managed to stay constructed for about two minutes before people started eating / destroying it... Wee!

Sunday, we had a vaguely impromptu Christmas cookie party. We also decorated the Christmas tree as it had decompressed as much as it was going to. We made many kinds of cookies at the party, including little spice cookies with Bacardi Limon glaze, sugar cookies and chile-lime chocolate and peanut butter chip cookies. Which we then glazed with Tequila lime glaze. And then garnished with more red pepper. The didn't look that great, but they were quite tasty. And when you put kosher salt on them, they are like margarita cookies. Yay! We also made a rather comically large amount of eggnog. In all it was a fun and tasty event.
