Friday we went to Heaven and Hell at PsiU. It was moderately amusing. Especially the worm eating. And the gagging...
Saturday, we got up early-ish and drove up to Blood Mountain in North Georgia. We hiked from a parking lot somewhere up to the peak. It was about two miles each way and pretty steep. We had fun and good exercise. We had a picnic lunch at the top. That was neat, but it was pretty windy and cold and we were underclothed, so we didn't hang around long... We went back home and k headed off to some owl related deal that she ended up not going to and i went to see Mastodon (warning: link plays music automatically) at Center Stage. It was a bit confusing as my ticket had a non-existent row and seat number, but apparently you just sit wherever or go down on the floor as you like. I bought and expensive drink and a (relatively) inexpensive shirt and sat down while the opening band, Priestess, played. They seemed to be generical hard rock with rather poor singing. Then they changed all the stage junk and Mastodon came out, supporting their new album, Blood Mountain, which i found to be an odd coincidence... The show was very good and they seem to do quite well live. The crowd was pretty mild and my ears mostly weren't bleeding, so i suppose that is good. After that, i rejoined k at Mandie and Sam's and we played a mostly unconscious game of Alhambra and then to bed...
Sunday, we slept a bit late and the realtor came over to take pictures and we cleaned / rearranged stuff to make the place presentable... Then we met Mandie and Sam for tofu soup and it was tasty. Then dog park, steaks, groceries, etc...
Also, we made fish and (sweet potato) chips tonight. They were tasty and handsome, but man it was a bit of work... There is still more cleaning left to do, but it's for later... House reeks of frying.
