Bakey Weekend
We hosted a mini party on saturday. I made some "deviled" pork chops and broccoli casserole thing that was mostly cheese. It seemed good. Amy and Mandie and Sam came over and feasted with us and brought vodka for cranberry juice. We watched the Fantastic Four. I love to hear the sound system pounding out action movie glory, but i'm always worried it will be too loud outside. I'll have to check on that at some point.
Sunday, we got a christmas tree and baked. I made a Cranberry Ricotta Tart Thing, except with orange extract instead of vanilla, because we were out of vanilla. k made some tasty white chocolate-cranberry cookies and we used a bunch of our shiny new kitchen toys. Then we headed over to Any and Greg's, where they had turkey and stuffing and deepfried cauliflowers with our mass of desserts. It was fun and tasty. Then we delivered more desserts to Mandie and Sam, as they were still a little sore from the night before. Then sleep. I'm not sure why i was so tired...
