EDIT: Sorry to people who already read this, but I was informed I didn't elaborate on the importance of the new ring-wearing. Enjoy... again.
We just woke up. I got to spend the night at her house for the first time, very sweet (not counting her dorm). We've been spending a lot of time together lately, and I've been dying to tell people why. So here I go.
So I've only been dating Kim for a few months now, but things are going really great. I've completely fallen for her, she's made me ten times happier than anyone I've ever been with. I haven't ever felt this way about anyone.
She's got this ring on her finger. It's a little silver ring with a green heart on it. It's Irish, and it's called a claddaugh. She bought it at an Irish fair. When she was single, she wore it on her right hand with the heart bottom closer to the tip of her finger. When we started dating, she turned it around, which is what your supposed to do when you're taken.
Not long ago we had been talking, and both feeling very strongly about each other, I did something very "next step", I asked her to promise herself to me. She very excitedly accepted. Now she wears the ring on her left hand.
For those of you who don't know, that's sorta like a pre-engagement-engagement. We're not engaged, but we're not just bf/gf either.
Well that's my big news, thanks for listening. I love Kim a lot. I'm not sure how my friends will react, but I wanted people to know. Some of Kim's friends already know, so it seems only fair that I get to tell people to.
