I saw the movie Vantage Point with the family yesterday.  It was pretty freaking good for what it was:  a thriller.  Though the dialog was not great and the ending (and some of the plot twists) really implausible,  first 10 minutes were set up in a pretty cool-ass way from inside the control room of major US news network GNN (I feel like that was a reference or something...?) covering an international anti-terrorism summit with contrived optimism.  Then the US president is shot and 2 bombs go off.  It's intense. I cried a little.  (not really.)  Then the rest of the movie replays the same series of events about 5 or 6 times from the perspective of a different person each time.  It sounds a little relentless, and one does begin to wonder just how many times we're going to see the same thing happen. But then it actually does a good job of revealing just the perfect amount of information at about the right pace.  There's also the sickest car chase I've ever seen, and hot hot Matthew Fox from Lost.

Bottom-line: it's worth the $11 to see in theaters if you're into thrillers and tend to enjoy them more on the big screen (or if your parents are paying and it's free!)  If not, get it on Netflix.  It's good entertainment.

Since I don't write on this much and don't know when the next time will be, I'm going on record as saying I do NOT think Hillary should pull out of the race just because the speaker of the house asked her to, at least not until all states hold primaries. I wouldn't want to if I was her (and wouldn't want her to if I really planned on voting for her).  All the states should have the chance to vote, especially when it's been this close for this long. I think she should be able to get as many votes as she can, and at least be able to say that when she loses the nomination.  And ultimately, I think this long-haul of a primary season will only make the eventual nominee stronger.

That said, I hope we don't go all the way to the DNC without someone sitting down.  That would be a mess.
