okay, first off? the Loreena McKennitt CD is SERIOUSLY fucking awesome. my favorite, at the moment, is "The Gates of Istanbul." guh. the Arabic feeling to the whole thing is wonderful; my favorite music of Loreena's has ALWAYS been her more Arabic sounding songs ("The Mystic's Dream" and "Marco Polo", anyone?), and this song is just PERFECT. despite the Middle Eastern feel to it, it still manages to feel winter-y. the entire CD does, actually. it's a wonderful blend of Middle Eastern and traditional Celtic instruments and techniques, and just...just...GUH. alksdjfa;sfdjsad♥
ANYWAY.
after dinner last night, rosie and I sat down and watched Supernatural. eight straight episodes of Supernatural. we were up until almost 3 in the morning. XD; HOMIGOD. UHM...THERE ARE NO WORDS TO DESCRIBE HOW AWESOME THIS SHOW IS. it's just so fucking CREEPY, and yet really fucking FUNNY at the same time. amazing. like...seriously AMAZING. and it never ceases to AMAZE me how insanely sexy Dean and Sam are; Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki (who play them) are just...just...Jensen with his SMILE and his EYES and Jared with his DIMPLE and both of them with their VOICES~ lsdkjasdjfsdkjfasd98fulkffdiusd <--that's all I can say to describe them. rosie and I spent so much time GIGGLING last night while watching it, because Dean and Sam are so AWESOME.
I mean, seriously. how ELSE would you describe people that, chasing down a Wendigo (a Native American cannibalistic spirit) shout "What are you waiting for, I taste GOOOOOD!"
the two of them seriously left us breathless more times than I care to count.
...we also went to bed kind of fearing nightmares of Bloody Mary crawling out of mirrors (jesus, that scared the SHIT out of us) and Hook Man clawing us open and leaving blood messages on the wall ("Aren't you glad you didn't turn on the lights?") and Wendigos (...thing was just...weird. it looked like a fucking hunanoid bat, and it left its victims alive for a LOOOONG time), 'cause seriously. the things they kill? really. fucking. creepy. XD; haha, rosie came into the room a couple of minutes after I got up there (she was turning all the lights off downstairs XD;), and she came in and said "Don't worry, I'm not Hook Man or a shape shifter wearing your sister's skin." we had a good laugh over that, 'cause it was almost 3 in the morning and we're losers. XD
...funny thing is, all the dreams I remember? involved Dean and Sam in some wayshapeorform, but none of them were very scary. o.o
