Christine, Cyndi, and I had made an attempt to go to Nighttown this past weekend, but, after finding out that they were charging $20 bucks to get in the door for an "all you can drink" night, and then SEEING the amount of cars that were outside of the club, we finally decided against it, and ended up at Studio 824 instead.
Ended up being a pretty smart move, because there was virtually NO ONE at 824 (which is how I like it) and I was able to sit back and enjoy the Electronica in peace. It WAS pretty funny watching Cyndi drink though.
There are two things I KNOW are true about this area:
1. Nighttown has NO business charging Club La Vela prices at ANY time.
2. The locals SUCK.
The LAST thing I wanted was to be in a place like Nighttown and have countless jackasses in my grill who have had FREE REIGN over the alcohol supply. I'll pass on THAT.
I REALLY miss going to Fun's and La Vela.
Christine, your work schedule SUCKS.
Chaos has ensued at Hot Topic: Santa Rosa Mall. While I WON'T go into too much detail here to protect the innocent, many people that I genuinely cared about and LIKED no longer work there. The winds of change are coming, and it seems as if every time I go into work, I meet a new face. I really hope we don't hire any morons.
Marriage: Year 4. Christine and I "celebrated" our 4 year anniversary of wedlock on November 4th. I say, "celebrated" because we didn't really "celebrate" anything. We just kind of let it pass and gave thanks that we made it through this year. It was probably the hardest year I've ever had to endure in my entire life, and we had to work through a LOT. But I'm hoping that now we have a better understanding of one another, and we begin again with another clean slate this year. "What doesn't kill will only serve to strengthen."
