Joining: Hecka open Location: Yakiniku Q Time: A relaxing day in May, sometime in the early afternoon Recap: Everybody likes beef in the afternoon. Tasty!
Shino obliged quickly, though he moved without any real haste. He noted with some small measure of awe that there was an astounding amount of food, considering Chouji had originally been here alone.
It didn't matter, though. The Akimichi appeared genuinely jovial about the company, despite the personal sacrifice of food. It was generous of him.
He watched as the large shinobi reached out to pluck his first bite from the grill, and calmly followed suit. Despite the awkwardness of the Anbu uniform, Shino was glad to have left it on. The collar of his black jacket rose too high to safely eat with it on, which forced him to unbutton before meals... and that never looked very dignified.
After sliding down the booth to make some room for Tenten, even if it was momentary, Chouji gave a soft sigh, chewing the first slice of beef contemplatively, waiting for Hinata to sit down. He wondered vaguely what Kiba was up to, he being the final member of that team-- not that the teams were so important anymore, with their all mostly being Chuunin. Still, bonds were bonds.
"It's pretty good today. You should help yourself, Hinata."
Thinking she wouldn't stay for long, Tenten considered to just remain standing but opted against it once she saw Chouji slide over to make room for her. (He had always been the kind-hearted and considerate type.) A quick hello to the both of them would do and maybe small talk to catch up on recent events, nothing major or philosophical, just a little quick chat. That wouldn't be too hard right? Then again, she had never fully felt comfortable around the younger shinobis, especially in a group. They had a bond that stretched back to their Academy days while her acquaintance had began...during that dreaded Chuunin Exam.
She quickly shook that thought away. Now was not the time to be reminded of that incident. "Hey, long time no see. How have you guys been?"
"It looks great," Hinata agreed, had been about to take her seat next to her team mate when Ino barged on in. Instead, she stood there at the end of the table, looking awkward, and not wanting to point out to Ino that she'd been somewhat rude. She doubted Ino would move if she did.
"W-well..." She started to say that it wasnt an offical party, but wound up mumbling an apology that she'd not been invited.
Chouji looked like he was about to answer her previous question when Ino suddenly appeared by Shino's side, taking the seat that had been meant for Hinata. Wow, she's fast. Taking pity on the young Hyuuga heiress, and also because of the simple fact that Neji would go mental if she was late getting back, Tenten stood up from her seat (even though she just sat down).
"You can have my seat, Hinata," the older kunoichi offered, "I'm not staying long anyways remember?" Which reminds me, I should be leaving soon. "Oh, Chouji!" Reaching into her pocket with her free hand, she pulled out a piece of paper, stamped and printed with professional ink, "I meant to give you this last week for your birthday but I was busy. It's still valid so I hope you enjoy it." Only Chouji could fully appreciate a coupon for a free plate of Yakiniku Q's finest dish.
