All but ONE of my cousins and step-sisters are pregnant. that and plenty of Dave and I's friends are pregnant just had kids within the year.
Missy (cousin)-had one last march and is pregnant again.
Cyndi (cousin)- pregnant with her first
Jacqie (step-sister)- just married, just pregnant
Jessica (stepsister) -married a few months ago, pregnant again
Tabitha (friend in Alaska) Just had her little girl
Jessica (old church friend) just had a kid, too!
Crystal (Dave's cousin) is expecting a little tyke, too.
Someone is spiking the water with fertility drugs.
I am excited and all, but geez. they are cute. I love holding little ones and all-assuming they are going to retain the majority of their bodily fluids and functions...but I really love that I can hand them riiiiight back. : )
anyway...
Thanksgiving was a blast. Dave's mom and I cooke the day before all morning to mid afternoon, and all until the feast began on Thanksgiving. My spiced apple pie was a hit....
I am mastering the art of "pie".
Life itself is desirable. Lots of new things happening with school and work. My job can be really frustrating, but is also really rewarding. Working with the mentally and physically disabled is great. i really feel blessed to be a blessing.
Finals are coming up soon, Tuesday even. Soon after that I starting taking classes for nursing-so whoopee-doo! I have no idea how I am going to afford it, but my will makes ways. : )
My drive to school is going to be lovely. Snow cakes the neighborhood, lights glittering, and people scurrying about to rummage through the downtown. Ugh, I love it.
I really love what Dave's parents do for christmas. Rather than expecting gifts, they ask for donations to buy livestock for a third-world family. That is simply heart-warming to me. I really admire what good people they are. The best part is, that they don't brag about their good deeds. It is all kept in the family, and the kids get to pick the livestock they want to raise money for.
anywho, does any one want to come over to get crafty with gift ideas with me?
I wanted to make handwarmers, pillows, pajama pants, paintings and..well..that is all I have for ideas. Does any one else have some good ideas for home-made gifts?
