The Cabal facility in the foothills outside of Old City could be mistaken for just about any private (albeit massively large and surprisingly well-fortified) research lab. Except for the fact that it's been completely off the grid for a good three months now and is apparently still running at full power

Ashley peers through the binoculars at the facility. It didn't look like anything out of the ordinary to Joe Blog. But they weren't any normal person off the street and this wasn't any normal facility. She looks closer.

From her vantage point, on the bluff of the hill, she could see where the laser detection barriers started and could see sentinels patrol the place.

"Nothing we can't handle, huh?" Ashley whispers.

"Shouldn't be a problem," he replies quietly, glancing up through his Ray-Bans in the direction they've been watching for the last half-hour. He pulls a piece of tech from his tac-vest and aims it toward the facility as he presses a few buttons. "The device is primed, now all we need to do is get close enough."

He gazes over to her.

"Let's do this, love. Be careful, yeah?" he whispers, moving closer to her so he can lean in for a quick kiss.

Ashley takes her sunglasses off and shoves them in to her tac-vest. She pulls out her gun from her leg holster. She nods her acknowledgement as he informs her that the device was primed. She thought of the best way to get down there. Her trained eye finding a route.

"You too," she whispers as she closes the gap and gives him a kiss.

She shifts and brings her gun up.

He switches into soldier-mode and pulls his glasses off as well. It certainly wouldn't do for the lenses to catch a glare and alert the sentries to their presence on the way in. He tucks them securely away inside his tac-vest and pulls his sidearm free, chambering a round in anticipation.

"Take point, I'll follow," he whispers, sweeping his gun over the surrounding area.

Ashley nods and moves from her lying position to a crouch and moved forward. She slinks forward with slow movements, her gun scanning the area as she moves using the shade as cover.

Declan follows her as she moves, his sidearm sweeping to and fro as they creep along the shadows cast by the hills to stay hidden. As they draw closer, he audibly taps his arm twice to get her attention, motioning toward the lasers and holding up the tech to let her know they're in range. He smirks and points two fingers toward the sentries as well, telling her to take one, and that he'll take the other, once the lasers are disarmed.

Ashley pauses and crouches as they reach the lasers, waiting in preparation as his hands communcate to her. She gives him one curt nod and prepares. Her eyes find the sentry and marks him, the silencer on her the barrel of her gun.

She's ready.

He taps his arm again and shakes his head, giving her the sign for non-lethal force...unless there's no other option. He waits until she acknowledges his signal before he presses the button that will shut down the laser system.

They won't have much time to work, once he does, and he wants to get in and out, taking as few lives as possible. The Cabal might see it as an act of war, he fears, if they were to just start shooting operatives, left and right...

She nods in acknowledgement. She holsters her weapon in silence. Her eyes return to the sight before her, taking it in and if any element had changed in the time she had looked to Declan. Her mark was still there, she sneaks slightly around, cautious of the lasers, for a better vantage point.

She signals that she's ready.

Declan nods and moves into better position, before he counts down from three on his fingers and presses the button to disable the lasers. As soon as the lasers fall, he signals her to make her move.

Once the beams were done, she moved with feline agility. She moved quickly, taking the sentry from behind. She catches him under the ribs with her stabbing fingers and wraps her arms around his neck, tightening them around him until he gives in to submission. She holds him until he succumbs to unconsciousness.

Ashley brings him gently to the ground and pulls him away. She searches him for anything that could be a communicator.

Declan takes his sentry at the same time Ashley takes hers, and strikes the Cabal operative with the butt of his handgun, throwing the larger semi-automatic weapon over his shoulder so that he can drag the unconscious body off into the shadows himself.

He checks the firing mechanism to make sure it won't jam before he gives Ashley the signal to continue on ahead.

Ashley shoves the walky into a pouch on her vest and affixes the ear-piece into her ear. She takes a quick scan around to see if any other sentries were around or any surveillance equipment was watching them so they don't feed false intel.

With her hand she shows him the direction she's going to take and takes her gun back out of its holster and prepares to move off.

From the shadows she takes a sweep of the area and moves.

Declan nods to Ashley and follows her in, letting her continue to take point and direct them via the earpiece and radio scavenged from the operative she had felled. Once in the shadow of the facility, Declan takes another breath and nods for her to continue onward in their task, reaching out to pull open the door for her.
