The vet called me this afternoon, and said that judging by the sample I gave them on Friday, Rosa seems completely recovered from her UTI. There was no sign of bacteria or nasty crystals or anything in it. So that's the last of the antibiotics! Now there is the matter of her teeth left to deal with. I'll have to check my calendar and find a good time for an appointment in about six weeks or so for that (vet's suggestion; so we can combine it with a kidney/urinary checkup).
While I was at the vet on Friday I started feeling really sick. Actually I had started feeling sick before I left home, but it grew worse during the day. I made it back home without mishap, but once home, I threw up and had to spend the next couple of days lying down. Typical, when the first really warm and beautiful spring day was on Saturday. I tried sitting out on the balcony, but sitting up wasn't working too well, so I had to go inside again and lie down (grumble grumble tiny balcony that can't fit a mattress grumble). But Rosa enjoyed sitting on the balcony table and keeping watch over the neighbourhood (and the b/w cat who lives opposite, and always sits among the bicycles outside his streetdoor waiting to be let back inside). On Sunday I felt well enough that I could sit outside myself, and even though it was overcast and not as nice and warm as the day before, it was still warm enough to be comfy. Towards evening, I could eat properly and today I've been to school as usual, and even did some shopping afterward. Unfortunately I had laundry Friday eveing which I had to skip completely due to falling ill. There wasn't another free time slot that I could use until Thursday this week and now the small reserve of clean clothing that's left is rapidly dwindling...
Rosa is more lively than I can remember that she's been before, so she probably hasn't been well for quite some time. It's hard to know with a cat that you haven't had that long, I thought she was just lazy. D: I'm going to have to remember to put away the noisier of her toys at night. Last night I was woken several times by the loud rattle of an empty thread spool. :)
What else? I've started walking to the train station when I go to school instead of cycling -- if I add the stretch I have to walk between the station and school in Eslöv, it means almost an hour of walking every day wich I suppose can only be good for me. Also I went into the hat shop in Eslöv last week and found that they had a half-price sale on ladies' caps, you know those big and floppy ones, and bought one in a deep ruby or wine coloured velvet, that I've been wearing a lot since.
