Kitty Inspection

Yesterday acropetal and I inspected each other's cats! First she came over and inspected Lisa-Rosa (and approved/was approved), and then we went to her place (by way of the shop), and I inspected her Isis, who is a tiny, thin little waif of nothingness when you are used to a big, heavy fluffball like Rosa-Lisa. ^^ She's a Russian Blue kitten, and has that typical sleek and slender elongated Oriental style. Since Lisa-Rosa has completely ignored or even showed dislike of the long purple furry tail-on-a-stick that I bought for her, I decided to bring it along to Isis as a present. She was a bit distrustful at first, but later in the evening she decided that it was a Big Dangerous Snake Monster that needed to be killed thoroughly (and repeatedly) by the Cute Kitten Heroic Hunter before it devoured us all. She also got the "cat grass" that I grew for Rosa (which she hasn't touched), and immediately tore into it with great abandon! While I'm really happy that Rosa-Lisa is such an amiable and easy cat to live with (she doesn't make mischief, doesn't eat my plants, doesn't claw on my furniture - or me - and doesn't even go on the kitchen counter!) I must admit that acropetal's cat has more entertainment value. :) Except for when I get out the laser pointer; then she goes wild! I've never yet met a cat who didn't go nuts for the laser dot. *nods*

After watching the latest Doctor Who ep (was that lame, or what?) we made some chicken salad and then watched some DS9, since I had forgotten to bring Blake's 7 with me. >.<   Anyway, I seem to have the stamp of approval from little Isis, too, since she came and parked herself on my lap while we were watching the telly. :)

Apparently Seamstress had a birthday picnic yesterday, but I didn't get/read the email about it until pretty late Saturday evening, and acropetal and I had made our plans long before. And I didn't have anything to bring to a picnic, anyway.

doctor who, telly, animals and other people, other people, our feline overlords
