From pnr.

1. Reply to this post and I will pick five of your icons.
2. Make a post (including the meme info) and talk about the icons I chose if you damn well feel like it.
3. Other people can then comment to you and make their own posts.
4. This will create a never-ending cycle of icon glee.

pnr picked these:

Haha! I made this for a RP character called Jupiter Fa Yao Soturheia, a Taenisian, i.e. an alien race created by kassie_opia. I really liked Jupiter but in the end it (yes, that's right) wasn't really very playable, and I never got around to making a more playable character. *sigh* (Sorry, Kassie!) I should probably delete it to make room...

This is the Death of Rats from the Discworld, as painted by Paul Kidby, who has an almost eerie way of knowing exactly what the Discworld characters look like inside our heads. I like the very Pratchettian visual pun in the image. I use it for computer-related posts, natch.

This is from the Old Doctor Who serial The Invasion, with the great Patrick Troughton as the Second Doctor. It's in black-and-white, and two of the eight episodes in the serial were lost by the BBC, but were amazingly reconstructed as animations in 2006 by Cosgrove Hall Studios. The thing in the icon is a Cyberman, of course. :) Made by me.

This is also Doctor Who-related -- it's based on a a poster of the Fourth Doctor, as played by Tom Baker, itself a pastiche of this famous Toulouse Lautrec poster. Since Bill Bailey has also made a very funny musical Doctor Who Belgian Jazz sketch, I though it would be fun to have this as an icon. Made by me, as you might guess.

Another Doctor Who-themed icon! This time it's a kind of a crossover between Doctor Who and Leonard Cohen. :) The image is a spoof of this Leonard Cohen album sleeve, and refers to the Doctor's villainous arch-enemy The Master, in the guise of British politician Harold Saxon, played by John Simm in the new series 3. Mr. Saxon used the slogan "SAXON IS YOUR MAN" in his election campaign for Prime Minister; hence the "I'm Your Man" connection. It's a bit obscure, but what can I say, I have a strange sense of humour. :)
