Episode Reaction - 6x16
Okay, so I think this episode just goes to show how amazing Supernatural still is. After 'The French Mistake' which was hilarious and funny and awesome in it's own way, this episode was so, so different and yet still awesome and just so Supernatural. Obviously, I liked it.
I hadn't looked at the preview or any spoilers beforehand (not sure how I managed it!) so I had no clue what to expect from this episode and I think that just totally made it even better.
-I really liked the recap which is a strange thing to comment on, I know. But they should Dean being all awesome and 'I'm the guy you don't want to see again because next time I'll kill you' and it was just HOT.
-I thought the plot for this episode was fantastic. The whole 'whodunnit' type thing where they were trying to keep track of the monster worked really well.
-Loved Bobby in this episode, especially him telling Samual off and his interactions with Rufus. Jim Beaver's acting in this episode was just stupendous - going from being the not!Bobby monster to grieving Bobby and it was all just brilliant.
-I loved all of Rufus' one liners. I'm sad to see him go but I think it was a good way to go, if that makes sense, because he was awesome throughout the entire episode and I loved the bit where Bobby was pouring his fav drink onto his grave.
-When Dean saw Samuel and was all 'welcome to next time' he was so hot but I'm glad Sam stopped him.
-I loved Sam and Dean being all protective of each other during this episode. They've really felt like brothers again over the last few episodes and I love it <3 Like, the way they confronted Samuel together and how worried Dean got when Sam got separated from them.
-Sam actually shot Samuel. I wasn't expecting that. And then Samuel woke up again when they were sawing through his head and that was just EW and awesome because it was so Supernatural-like.
-The bit where they electrocuted each other was interesting. It made me smile with all of the stuff about the pacemaker stuff and then not!Bobby stabbed Rufus and the mood changed immediately.
-I loved that final scene by the grave with Dean's little speech and everything.
So yeah, loved the episode. I haven't watched the promo yet...I'm going to leave it for a few days so that hellatus gets broken up a little bit. So yeah, what did you guys think of the ep?
