Oh No Ho Ho You Didn't!
I love Christmas. To me, it truly is the most wonderful time of the year, or at least it would be if it didn't last 3 freaking months! This is a pet peeve that I have long held and I thought most everyone else was with me on this, so why is it that Walmart and Target had Christmas decorations for sale when I was in there shopping for a fan for my bedroom because it was too hot to sleep? This was the first weekend of October, mind you. I was willing to let it go since the wage slaves in places like that have to be given instructions on setting up seasonal merchandise months in advance and a couple of dress rehearsals before going live. Today was the breaking point. They set up a Christmas tree and wreath at the reception desk of my office. Now I really miss Building L because it doesn't have a reception desk and I wouldn't have to put up with this shit. I guess I should really take this opportunity to bid a hearty Happy Pre-Christmas to everyone. That's right. Thanksgiving is now called Pre-Christmas, during which you have a big dinner with your family so that you can get up the next day at the crack of dawn, skip breakfast, and get to the Black Friday sales before anyone else. Well, you can anyway. I'll be skiing.
