I’m not sure what woke me up today, a sound, a touch, or more of a feeling. I open my eyes and see this cute guy with a puppy dog face smiling at me. We had no plans today so we decided to spend the whole day watching movies, seemed like the right thing to do since we were so exhausted from yesterday.
Luckily our hostel had a really nice lounge. It had a huge TV, with a nice sound system, tons of movies, and bean bags, perfect! We watched several movies starting with Requiem for a dream, the expendables, taxi, and some movie that ended with two smoking barrels. We basically sat there all day and finally around lunch time Felix went to go get us some Thai food. After that we continued to lounge and the next thing we knew it was pretty late in the evening. After a quick nap and getting a bit more dressed up, well as dressed up as a traveler can get…. We decided to go to route 66 to meet his friends. I was pretty excited to make them!
So we get there and the first person I meet was Thanit, who was the nicest sweetest person ever! Half Thai half German! After that I met his other two friends; Stefano and Ruben. Stefano was half Spanish half German and Ruben was half Swiss half German. I immediately loved everyone! so we were at the club, bottle service, and music playing, everyone dancing and having a good time. The club felt like something I would go to in Toronto, it was massive, amazing music, lasers and elevated platforms, gorgeous servers, and the only difference was that the majority of people were Thai. I do have to say that Thai girls are gorgeous, and really know how to dress! We literally stayed right till the end and even then we hadn’t had enough. We decided to go to an afterhours place called spicy, which believe it or not, was even better then the first club. We immediately got into the music and drinks were being poured and we were all back to enjoying ourselves. Time went by pretty quickly, and minus a small altercation with my hat, everything else was great. I believe we left around 6 am and the sky had already started getting lighter. I couldn’t believe what a crazy 2 days I had already had in Thailand and was so glad I met these guys.
