Okay, so I watched the debate (sorry I wasn't here for the live post, was in another room from the computer all night). Apparently some people online are taking issue with the fact that Romney said "government doesn't create jobs", but they said he turned around and said his government will create jobs. Did any of you guys imply that from what he

The same thing happened to me pre-internet. Although in some cases, I'd kinda get over it/pretend I didn't find out about it and I'd watch the shows/movies again.
Yeah, I do enjoy the funny tweets or behind-the-scenes pics. That's pretty much the reason why I keep on top of this guy's tweets. He's hardly mentioned politics at all (except for the kinda funny dig at Anthony Weiner, and the comment about Newt during the GOP primary, though I couldn't tell if it was anti-conservative/GOP or just anti-Newt) and I've liked most of his funny comments and the BTS pics he's posted. I think what bothered me about this comment (even though he didn't actually say it, he retweeted it) was that he never commented about either convention or the other debates, and that he decided to do it to get adulation from all the fans following him (a lot of them are the crazy, hyper-protective type who instantly love everything he says).
Yeah, def. not going to do that. I enjoy his tweets more than not, so I guess I could just overlook the stupid political ones/retweets. That does make me feel better. :)

A retweet doesn't always mean they agree...Adam Baldwin often retweets libs (although the rest of his feed makes it obvious he is NOT a liberal). Maybe your actor just found it funny?
You could unfollow him temporarily. Sometime in January, when politics have died down, I'll probably re-follow those celebs I unfollowed.
Anyway, I understand how disheartening it is. I was very disappointed today when a certain actor retweeted and agreed with a comment about Romney being a slimy liar. And I don't even like that actor very much! It's just...frustrating. >:(

That's a good point. I totally forgot about Adam Baldwin and his RTing of libs. I guess that's possible - he's never tweeted about anything else related to the election (not the conventions or the other debates). And he's never tweeted/retweeted anything fangirly over Obama.
That sounds like a good plan. If (I'd love to say "when"... maybe I will) Romney wins, I don't want to think about anything he might tweet/retweet. Probably just stop following for a while.
It is, isn't it? It's almost like "great, not another one." I should pretty much go into every show I watch assuming the actors are all liberals. If I'm wrong, I'll be pleasantly surprised. But if I'm not, then it's not a big deal. Low expectations and all that. ;) Just is frustrating when someone you admire for not being a loudmouth about politics like most of the other actors proves you wrong. Like the bloom has fallen off the rose somewhat.
