Whooo!!!!
I won tonight. I'm not really sure how, since I really didn't play all that well. I had a decent night at work beforehand, which helped a lot. See, usually during the week, I'll think of things I want to try out, and I usually forget all about them because I'm so frazzled from the hectic times at ShopRite. But tonight it was pretty okay. I played solidly, but not spectacularly, got a few lucky breaks, played a terrible round of heads-up with Sweet Lou (at one point, I was absolutely murdering him; later, I tried pushing him all-in only to find out that he was actually ahead), got lucky heads-up, and took home $80, which is going right into the wedding fund as per my agreement with myself.
Tomorrow, Cory and I are going to Commerce to open a joint savings account so that we can pool our resources and maybe pull this miracle off. I'm bringing my $50 check from finishing third in my Fantasy Football league and the $80 I won tonight, and that's not too bad of a start. Sure, it's quite inconsequential in the long run, but it's more than what we have now and I have to think small at this point.
After that is the Royal Rumble, which Ric Flair will be participating in. Which means it's going to be a great event. Whoooo!!!
