So I've decided I fucking love noise music. There's something about a dude making the most abrasive godawful racket he can manage that's strangely appealing to me. So here's more stuff you should check out that I've been listening to all day:

Merzbow - Okay, this guy has been around forever and I have no excuse for not having looked into his work

Merzbow's been around since like, 1979, and I think his releases are up around the 400 notch. He's amazing -- I love his 13 Japanese Birds releases.

You should check out Guilty Connector, Masonna, Yellow Swans, Axolotl, Carlos Giffoni, and Flying Testicle (Merzbow and Masonna together).

I'm seeing Merzbow at No Fun Fest this May! :D

Sweet! I'd imagine Merzbow would be an earsplitting racket live. I'd dig seeing 'im.

I am PUMPED to go see him, he doesn't tour too often, but I got tickets for myself and my boyfriend, who's a noise musician too. I am steeped in this stuff.

Eardrum bursting noise sounds like it would be that much cooler in a live setting.
