summer

Wow I really don't update this thing anymore. Well my UArts classes are over. They were fab. Then I went to my grandmother's cottage in Massachusettes for a week and it was a REALLY short week, but I had fun. The last few days I had a scandalous love affair with my cousin who is adopted...no blood relation. Anyway now we're doing the long-distance thing. I'm curious to see how that will go. I love him though. It was very sad parting. He lives in Atlanta and I live in Philly. 752 miles apart. I figure that $72 for a roundtrip Greyhound Bus ticket won't be so hard to swing every once in a while...
Now I'm home and I still haven't seen some of my favorite friends, but I went to Jojo's last night. I called my brother for a ride at like 1:30 am, but he didn't want to get me, so I walked the 3 miles or whatever it is to my house at like 2am...wearing my pretty white dress, just waiting to get picked up by the cops.
I'm really looking forward to being 18, being free and clear to be acknowleged as an adult, which, I clearly am. I'm getting my ass in gear too and looking for a car and a job. I need moneyyyyy. I'm gonna get my driving permit really soon too, but I need a car to learn on, so I think my parents are just going to get me like a $5,000 car. I know exactly what I want off of ebay xD but my parents are alllllll about giving me some shitty hand-me-down car that they know "will work properly", but I keep telling them, if I'm going to drive a peice of crap, I'm going to do it with style and humour, like the rest of my life. So I want a red 1965 Mercury Caliente (look up a picture of it, it's cute) or an old Cadillac if I can't have that. I keep telling them just to put our neighbors out of their misery and buy the VW bus that has been sitting on their lawn for months xD

I visited Hampshire college, my first choice, while I was in Mass. also. It was very pretty and I loved it. I had an interview, but I feel like I didn't talk enough. There was a lot more that I could have said, just didn't fit in. The lady was nice though and young. She asked me a "personal" question for the interview, "what was the last thing that made me mad" So I told her that the afternoon before, I had left behind my first great summer romance and it made me mad. Not very professional of me, but she said "awwww I'm sooo sorry. That's sad". I'm sure Hampshire will remember me as the girl who openely talked about her summer romance xD. I think it went well. haha. But Hampshire is in Massachusettes and my man is in Georgia. Men totally fuck up my college plans.
