Missing friends
I had just read Kourt's post on NFA and it has me really missing my friends. It seems not so long ago that a weekend apart from debaters was an eternity. I couldn't imagine my life without late night extemp cutting and all day strategy sessions with the appropriate accompanying visual diagrams of the white board of people falling out of boats. It seems not so long ago that my bags hardly ever got unpacked just clothes washed and put in again. Not so long ago where staying in a hotel was as common as staying in my own bed. Not so long when suits were a normal part of my weekly wardrobe. I don't know that I msiss all of that but I most certainly miss the people. I miss walking into the team room and always knowing that within 30 minutes I was almost guarenteed to run into one of my closest friends. I miss knowing that no matter how bad my day was going there would be someone there at the end of the day to pick me up. Debate was one of the best experiences in my life and I sincerely miss the people.
Kourt, Sarah, Dave, Kristen, and Boyer I can't wait to see you all at the wedding. I hope there will be time before Sunday to spend time together as well. You are all welcome to visit Paul and I in DC anytime.

Shawna and Justin, it has been great being able to hang out with you this year. You two have kept me from going crazy from loneliness more than once.

Steph, I don't know if you can make the wedding or not but I am so happy to at least have one friend in DC. I have missed you these last few years!
