Written in between season three and season four, this was the only thing that got me through the break. Beautiful characterization and really insightful views into both Elena and Damon. It's believable to boot, which is a huge thing for me, and the language is gorgeous, which is one of the surest ways to my heart. It's quick but powerful, and totally worth the read. Plus, it's Delena, so it's hot as hell.
