The Joys of Summer
I love summer BBQ's. With the right food and the right company, they are my favorite social gathering. People are comfortable to basically do whatever they want. Some sit around and talk, others prepare dishes, others cook, and others watch TV. I hate cooking, but I love to grill. I'm not sure whether that has anything to do with the fact that my father loves it and I helped him prep the grill and the food as a kid, but it's one of the silly little things that I look forward to when the weather gets warmer. I am extremely thankful to have met so many good people before and after moving to Lancaster. Even though I'm certainly NOT a huge fan of cleaning, I certainly don't mind the piles of dishes after a BBQ. I will miss summer sorely when it leaves.
