Earlier today, I read a post over on another blog, called Finding Your Niche - Your Painting Style.

Derek Collins has quite a few ideas and bits of advice he shares with beginning artists. I respect that he makes his living entirely on his art, something I only dream of doing, but I disagree with some of the ideas he presented.

People often ask me to describe the process of creating a particular piece of art, as if it were a linear process, or all of it took place on a conscious, well thought-out level and I have words to describe it.
