Can I bang their heads in the wall? Or against each other
I'm just two episodes short of finishing SG-1 season 8, but I HAD to post after "Reckoning" and "Threads".
1) "Threads" - I wanted to bang Sam's and then Jack's head on the wall. WHAT DO YOU THINK THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT? Sam's father was SO OBVIOUS and yet...Jack was almost as bad as she. But, BUT! Richard White Pete is out of the picture, finally! AND Jack/Sam went fishing. Heh. :)
2) I'm so sad Jacob died! I loved the old man - from the old men trio we only have Bra'tac now. *sniff*
3) Which reminds me, HAMMOND FTW! "Prometheus Unbound" is great, first because we have HAMMOND! He takes Daniel and Walter from Jack, and saves the day! And, second and more fangirly of me of all, we have CLAUDIA BLACK! *Happy Snoopy Fangirl Dance* Ok, she seems like a bimbo and has nothing to do with Aeryn - except perhaps the fighting skills, but...AERYN! I mean...CLAUDIA!
4) "Reckoning" - GREAT couple of episodes! Jack annoyingly JACK towards Ba'al, Ba'al and Sam and Jacob's begruding cooperation, the destruction of all Replicators (er...right???), and Daniel ROCKING SO HARD when entering Replicator!Sam's mind!!! :D Loved it!
5) Ok, I can deal with Doral being a married military man in a world destroyed by civil war, or even Mr. Sheffield sans Fran running an aircraft industry, but Teal'c teaching Lois Lane martial arts and then having sex with her? THAT'S WRONG IN SO MANY LEVELS!
6) I LOVE the Asgard, especially Thor.
7) "Avatar" was silly, but it was funny. rjann would love it! He has the same motto as Teal'c and that guy from Galaxy Quest: "Never give up, never surrender!"
8) "It's good to be king" - MAYBOURNE! I never thought I would say that, but I like the old man. WIVES! LOL! Great episode, also great because we had Jack in off world action AND because he piloted one of those Ancient ships we see in SGA! Continuity FTW!
9) "Citizen Joe" - I *think* this maybe the only "what has happened so far so you guys who have never watched SG-1 - and are not as crazy as Debora - can jump right in and start watching the show" episode that I liked. Because it was funny! "Wait a minute. Jack - you've been seeing parts of the life of a barber in Indiana for seven years and you never mentioned it?" LOL! Not to mention the FURLINGS/EWOKS comparison, which I've had in my mind since the FIRST TIME they were mentioned, in "The Fifth Race"!
10) At last but not least...er...I forgot! :P Never mind.
I think this was the fastest I watched an SG-1 season so far. Next, the end of Season 8, followed by Season 9 and John Crichton BEN BROWDER! :D
I had a FANTASTIC Christmas! Had supper on the 24th with my mother and sister, without any fights, and then on the 25th I had lunch with mom, my boyfriend, my sister and her boyfriend, two aunts, my uncle, and two cousins. We had all sorts of delicious food - my boyfriend actually asked my mother if she had made a buffet for someone who then had it cancelled, because she cooks divinely and there was so much food - and all sorts of family jokes and old stories. It was fun and everything that Christmas should be. :)
I hope everyone had a great Christmas - and thanks to everyone who wished the same to me and my family!
I feel confident about New Year's Eve as well - actually, about the entire next year! ;)
ETA: Just watched the last couple of episodes from season 8!
That was another GREAT couple of episodes!
First, YAY! JACK/SAM! KOWALKSI! I miss him!
Second: Gaeta, AGAIN! This is the second time they use him, and the second time they use a BSG actor twice - Chief has been used twice as well, once as a good but dead Jaffa, the other time as a bad Jaffa.
Third: McKay! What is WRONG if you that everytime you show up in SG-1 you have to seem a chauvinistic only interested in Sam's skirts and not her brains? Also, GATESHIP FTW! What? I like it, it makes sense...
Fourth: Davies, with a moustache! XD AND GENERAL HAMMOND!
Fifth: LOVE DANIEL AS AN EXCITED ARCHAEOLOGIST GOING TO ANCIENT EGYPT! THEN STAYING ON EGYPT AND COMMANDING THE REBELLING AGAINST RA!
Sixth: Loved the whole bit involved directly or indirectly to Jack/Sam. Her remarks, Jack telling her she was hot, she telling lying to him about having the hots for Daniel, and, finally, they kissing. dtissagirl, I had a couple of ideas for some screencaps good for icons, but this episode? Best ever for Jack/Sam!! XD
Now, some pondering...If alternate future Jack and alternate future Sam have to stay at ancient Egypt, does that mean they can live happily ever after and have lots of kids - or at least one called Grace? :P Or will they disappear once their alternate future doesn't happen? Does that mean that the Jack and Sam that we know, together with Teal'c, died in the past and will never go back to the future? Nor Daniel?
Oy, time travels ALWAYS give me a headache.
Now I'm divided between watching season 9, SGA season 2 or sleeping.
Hum....I guess I should go to bed. :P
OH, one last thing, I remembered what I was going to mention before - Rya'c is BORING, can he be gone already???
