Since tomorrow I'm going to NEW YORK, BABY! I figured I should post my feelings about Prison Break's and BSG's finales! And the last three Heroes episodes as well!
Before that, though, HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!
And yes, I should be packing my bags, but I'll do that later!
Although I was excited to see Michael and Sara reunited - and for a fleeting moment I thought that they were REUNITED FOR GOOD - this show has lost me.
Really.
From the moment a top secret agent at the US government recorded a tape that proved that the president's brother was ALIVE with the RECORD DATE only and not the DATE WHEN THE SOUND WAS ORIGINALLY RECORDED, this show started to bug the hell outta me.
Come on, it had WE GOTTA STRETCH THIS TO ANOTHER SEASON stamped all over it.
It got worse when the president stepped down from her position. Granted, it got a little better when Lincoln was declared innocent and him, Michael and Sara were getting ready to sail into the sunset, with T-Bag behind bars, but then we had Sucre working against the clock to save Maricruz and THEN we have Michael being hailed to a new prison, because The Company that sent his brother to jail and the eletric chair, and then hunted Lincoln and Michael down to kill them, suddenly has an urge to send him to another prison.
A wicked Central America prison, with no law or guards, with Michael, Bellick and MAHONE behind bars - and Sucre probably on its way too if the actor renews his contract. T-Bag too.
The only thing that got me a little bit excited about the next season was to see Michael and Mahone working together. Ok, more than a little bit, but still. They should know when to end a sucessful series that was NOT meant to last more than ONE SEASON!
The last three BSG episodes were GREAT, possibly the best ones of all the season!
The trial, or rather, Lee's speech was so...PERFECT! Yes, they all have made mistakes, but their mistakes have been all overlooked for the sake of their survival. So, why shouldn't they forget Gaius's mistakes?
Although, I, for one, think Gaius is a bastard that should rot in prison, I see Lee's point of view. :P
I loved the "All along the watchtower" song at the end, the scenario, scenes, song, characters, dialogue - or lack of it in parts - everything was PERFECT!
AND STARBUCK IS ALIVE! YAY! But...she can't be the last Cylon. She just...can't.
As for the Four Cylons...
The Chief is the one that bugs me the most. He is the common man, a regular worker, a normal person, he shouldn't be a Cylon. Besides, he spent so much time worrying that he would be a Cylon! I don't know...it just...doesn't fit.
Tigh actually doesn't botter me that much - despite the fact that he fought in the first Cylon war, so, he should be born BEFORE the Cylons, and my mind can't see a way around this - he was the one that had the better reaction to it, and the one with most potential for a great storyline. Besides, he is Adama's right hand, the second in the military command, he has got to be in such a position of power for a reason!
Tory and Anders were obvious choices. Both are not attached to anyone, both are somewhat famous in their society - she is the president's right hand and he is a famous sportsman, so, they have appeal to the people. And Tory, like Tigh, is in a position of power, next to the humans' executive leader.
I can't wait to the Pegasus' movie, and even less for January 2008!
And I agree with whoever said that Helena Cain could be the last Cylon! :P
Man, I've been so busy that I didn't post ANYTHING about any of the new Heroes episodes after the show's hiatus! So...
Tim Kring wants to kill me. Siriusly. The show just keeps getting better and BETTER!
Linderman keeps sending me all this villain vibes, and Mama Petrelli seemingly allied with him gives me the creeps! She shouldn't be a villain! I like her! :( And don't you give me Maquiavel's "the ends justifies the means" crap, because they can't simply kill millions of people - 0.07% of the world population - just because it would allow Nathan to guide the world into a better future - Hello? It would be something FORCED! DICTATORSHIP, anyone??
Nathan, oh, Nathan...sometimes I want to smack you right in the middle of the head, sometimes I want to hug you. Don't let them lead you into agreeing with their plan to blow up half New York.
I'm glad that future!Nathan wasn't you, though. Yes, that meant you were dead, but better dead than a jerk, right?
Peter. Oh, PETER! OMG! Future!Peter was HOT, and Peter is all together made of awesome, be it past, present or future. Even with Nikki. His friendship with Claire is so...OMG, can they PLEASE stop sending sexy vibes towards each other?? He is her UNCLE! Anyway, back to the show...he was kinda dumb to go and meet Nuclear!Ted, wasn't he?
Claire-bear, I love you, your character grew so much since the beginning of the show, don't let your grandmother or you father order you around, you always thought for yourself until now...but stop giving your uncle that long looks!
Mr. Bennet. Oh, Mr. Bennet, how I love thee. Bad guy turned into good guy because his boss wants to take his little girl from him. Working for the resistance in the future, hiding mutants, er, special people with powers from The Company, from the government...*sigh* I love his character.
Parkman. Peter, Claire, Hiro, please stop Sylar and PLEASE stop NY from exploding because Future!Parkman scares the hell outta me.
Hiro. Oh, Hiro, you missed Ando so much - and you probably blame yourself for him being killed - that you became a bitter killer. Although you look much cooler as Future!Hiro, I prefer your present!Hiro's naïvete. But I simply LOVED Future!Hiro's timeline - that was wicked!
Mohinder FINALLY did something smart by not giving up his father's entire research to The Company - although he should never have even CONTACTED them - and by saving Molly Walker. Who, by the way, is cool. :) The character, her power, and her storyline - I love recurring characters! And I miss Audrey.
Isaac...will you guys think bad of me if I admit that the thing I will miss the most about him will be his paintings?
Nikki, DL and Micah - still couldn't care less. Actually, getting rid of Micah would be the only good side in NY exploding.
As for the future...man, I had all these theories about what might happen, but the adrenaline rush I'm currently on because of my vacation succesfully made all my theories fly out of my head.
And to think that tomorrow night I will be flying to NY while the episode is on, and WITHOUT a computer on the next day to download the episode! GAH! *pulls her hair out* Anyone know how long does it take for NBC to put the episode on their website? Perhaps I can watch it in Atlanta, while I wait for my connection to NY!
At last, it's time to say good bye!
I will see all you guys later! I will try to update during my trip, but I can't be sure if I will be able or not.
Tomorrow, NY. Next week, LA. And then...CELEBRATION, HERE I COME! :D
