I’m not sure if I’ll be able to get an entry in this week either. Sigh. I knew it might be a problem to try and do Idol during radiation, so I guess it’s expected. It still makes me sad to miss out though.
The topic did make me think dirty things of course, and I had ideas that I absolutely don’t plan to write. I had another one I thought about, one talking about my history of eating disorders that included binge eating and how I got over it, but I’m not sure I’ll have the time or mental energy. I also thought about writing a chapter of my book for the prompt since the main character is a middle aged kitchen witch/baker and I have a fun idea…. But again, time and energy. We’ll see.
I agree - turning our backs on everything that is Russian condemns people who do NOT support the war and piles them in with those who do. Once all of the media outlets were cut off, information was cut off. I'm sure many of the people currently in Russia will be appalled once they actually discover what has been happening, and in the meanwhile, we've at least tried to get a clearer picture for them.
I do both LJ and DW, and have done both of them for many years, so the platform doesn't matter as much to me, but I know there are some people who wanted to run away and leave LJ behind.
I am of two minds regarding the fact of supporting the owners of LJ through ad clicks on public entries. Therefore I might link this week's entry to my DW account and post it here only friends only

I'd actually NOT heard that. (them not having access to anything other than in Russian). Based on how busy I've been, that doesn't surprise me. But still...That does change things. I'll have to think about this, and reach out to some people to see how widespread that is.
it is not "in Russian" but posted from Russia, and maybe other Russia-friendly countries, I don't know that. The language apparently is not an issue, only the IP
Whoa, interesting. If that is how this is working, that is a shame. Maybe I need to move over to the DW as well. Its a shame that its so easy for the infrastructure in Russia to block according to IP origin, but I guess that is part of the weakness of any of these old simple open source platforms. Not that the new social medias are any better in that respect. It's just that this one is still a bit of a money-maker for unknown interests. Ugh.
