A reminder to set reminders for yourself.
A reminder to keep Ukraine in your thoughts, as well as all of the Russian people taking to the streets to protest this war. Those are voices that need to be amplified. https://www.theguardian.com/world/video/2022/mar/02/ukrainians-are-our-friends-the-young-russian-anti-war-protesters-defying-putin-video If this is an issue important to you, I'd highly encourage you to share stories like this on your personal LJ, to fill that LJ front page with that sort of news, instead of idiots (or paid idiots) sharing propaganda.

I know for some of you, this isn't the place to talk about "politics" or world events. You want this as a refuge away from that.
I know for some of you, we don't address this sort of thing ENOUGH!
Within this community, you could throw a dart and hit two people who are opposing sides of any given issue. What helps them come together is their mutual anger at me for throwing darts at them!
In this case though, because Livejournal was purchased by a Russian company, and that the future of the site itself is being addressed - I thought it was important enough to put it out there. I'm almost definitely going to "get it wrong" by at least half of the people reading this. I'm sure they will let me know. :) You've never been a shy group. I'm just trying to not abandon the people who asked me not to abandon them, during a time when they've said they need content like Idol on their feeds.
