Green Room - Week 1 - Day 2

On the same day that I start the mini season, I get a call - from a (recent) former co-worker. She left a few weeks ago, (one of the people that I DIDN'T want to see leave) and wanted to give me the heads up... the boss was also leaving for a new job. In a couple weeks... and *I* was her recommendation as interim supervisor.  :O

That's what I was trying to do, include the idea, but twist the ending on to something more positive.

Start writing and see what happens? Sometimes that helps me...

As ever, my first thought for the prompt is, "magical realism with kiddos and cryptids" and for some reason I'm thinking of a mythical fish for this one. Shiny black scales that glow with rainbow iridescence in the moonlight. Big sharp teeth. Like a piranha but more cunning. Creepy. Yessss.
