Halo, Tetris, and more zombies!!!

Since my last entry, I bought myself a 20 GB hard drive for my 360 and a 1600 Microsoft points card. With the points card, I bought some games, a cool looking Halo 3: ODST premium theme, and some Ghost In The Shell gamer pics. It's cool to have Motoko Kusanagi as my Xbox Live gamerpic. I bought the full version of Tetris Splash. It's classic Tetris gameplay so I am definitely going to play this version a lot.

It has a under the sea theme to it. It looks cool in my opinion. You can buy other themes for the game in the XBL Marketplace. I might buy at least one of these themes eventually since I know I am going to play this a lot. It might not have as many variations as the recent Tetris game on the PSP but this game allows custom soundtracks. I think being able to play your own music in a game like this or Bejeweled 2 is a very important feature. I can play puzzle games for long periods of time so having variety in music is good. If you like Tetris, I highly recommend this if you have a 360.

The next game I bought is Shoot 1UP,a Xbox Live Indie title. It's only 80 Microsoft points or a dollar in actual money. It's a shoot 'em up in which you use multiple ships at once to shoot at enemies. When you collect a 1UP, another ship appears in your fleet. There are a tons of enemy ships on the screens so having multiple ships at once is not a real advantage. If you like games like this, you will also enjoy this game. I also bought the full version of I MAED A GAM3 W1TH Z0MBIES 1N IT! and it is badass. It's a shame that yiyo_chan can't have her 360 online. I think she would love this game. Like Shoot 1UP, It's only 80 MS points. I think games like this is definitely one thing that XBLA has a advantage over PSN. There are plenty of good titles on XBLA that are fun and cheap. Also, It seems that Xbox Live has sales more often than on PSN. Right now, 360 owners can get the Borderlands add ons for half price. I also bought the Atari 2600 classic Pitfall in the XBLA Game Room. Game Room is the place to play classic arcade,Atari, and Intelivision games.

I got my Halo 3: ODST game case with Halo 3 multiplayer disc on Friday. Since then, I have played a lot of Halo 3 multiplayer. I haven't tried all of the gametypes but I have been having fun. One of my favorite game modes so far is Crazy King. It's a variation of the classic King of The Hill game mode but the hill keeps changing location. This means that you have to be on alert to where the hill pops up and get to it fast. The person who can have the most time in control of the hill wins. There is also a variation of Slayer (Deathmatch) in which all of the players are equipped with the energy sword. That mode is also fun. My Warthog driving skills are still not as good as they were in ODST's Campaign. Here is my Halo 3/ODST Service Record:

After playing a lot of ODST and Halo 3's multiplayer, I am definitely excited about Halo Reach. I have watched a lot of vids showing off what is going to be in Reach. Halo: Reach is Bungie's last Halo game. It looks like they are going out with a bang with this game. One of the improvements is called Forge World. It's basically a map creator that is going to have a lot of options. Here's a video explaining it.

I also watched Halo: Legends. It's a collection of anime shorts similar to The Animatrix and Batman: Gotham Knight. All 7 shorts have a unique look to them. I rented this from Netflix but plan to buy the DVD eventually.

That's all for now.
