I don't even know what Spanner is talking about here.
“It would be theoretically possible to create a Marauder’s map, actually.”
Julie blinks, glancing at the mechanic who was sprawled on his couch. He pauses the movie (predictably The Prisoner of Azkaban) and faces Spanner fully, resting his arms on the man’s stomach and digging his chin into his hipbone.
“Ah? Ya don’t say?”
“Mm. Fibro-synthetic technologies are easy to manipulate. It wouldn’t look exactly like the map, but the basic premise would still be there. It won’t simply be a touch-friendly security screen, though, more like a heat-signature sensitive fibrelined map.”
Spanner reaches down and grabs the remote from the floor, playing the movie again as Julie settled against his side.
“Ya thinkin’ of makin’ one?” He asks finally, after a few moments of watching some tense wand pointing.
Spanner makes a noncommittal noise, and Julie smiles, knowing that he would.
