Quite frankly, Seussical is actually an acid trip of a musical. But what a sweet trip it is!
The climax of Seussial is fast approaching! I can't believe how one show has managed to stir such emotion, turn a school upside down and create a legion of Seuss addicts. The songs stick in your head, they really do. Even tech crew can't stop singing the songs. It's been stressful, it's been crazy, but ultimately all the rehearsals and endless preparation have been fun and created such a great show! I've really enjoyed getting to know lots of talented people from different grades. Its also been great to get to know people better like Michal for example who is SUCH an incredible singer/actor. Oh the bonding moments we've had. It's stunning how much talent our school holds. It's crazy how people can completely transform themselves into their character. Like MICHELA AS MAYZIE!!! What a sexpot. I also really love the orchestra, the first time we practiced with them and I heard "Alone in the Universe" I was blown away. It makes me miss my band days. Our first show on Wednesday for cast 2 went quite well. Apparently some kids were moved to tears during Solla Sollew. Hmmm. Mostly during Solla Sollew I'm focused on how the spotlight's so bright I can actually see the veins inside my eyeballs. Oh and I'm consumed with emotion of course.
