why do you always get the best ideas while you are in the shower.... then when it comes to actually write/talk or what have ya, you can never make the same connections as you had made in the shower. i propose that we all have recording devices in our showers at all times to make sure we can't forget what the hell we said, or that we start adopting public showers with the idea that if you took more of them and was able to reason the same way continuously, that perhaps it would allow those connections more often and possibly outside of the shower, which would in turn make everyone sound that much more smarter.... of course this is just a theory based on the assumption that people say smart things/make more interesting connections to things that matter to them.... but on the flip side we could have a lot more people that think they can sing and would do so at the expense of everyone else which kind of terrifies me more than anything in this world.
going back to the shower thing... i realized that over the years, my brain is able to compute better in the shower, and now i really really want to take that out of the shower to, let say my laptop. it would make things soooo sooo much easier for me.
aww, it is refreshing to see mark hopus and travis barker making pretty good music still..... the new +44 cd which is the mark and travis's band after the break up of blink 182 (tom delong went on his own in sorts to make angels and airwaves, which is total garbage). the album is not fantastic, like a must buy but it is pretty good, especially with the added element of electronica, but is every little. i guess you can compare it to panic at the disco! with the way they incorporated it in, which was done pretty shitty by panic, but it is not soo bad with +44 main on the fact that it all meshes together better and makes a lot more sense, on the fact it is present throughout the entire album and not just one or two random tracks. why is it always the case for rock bands, they all think they can do electronica also, like they would even have a fucken clue what good electronica sounds like. they seriously wouldn't know good electronica if it came up and hit them.... in the nuts, and why would they, they barely know how to make good rock then let alone something else good out of their genre. anyways, this album is mostly alt. rock and sounds like the album blink would have produced next if they didn't break up, but to be frank i am happy that they did and mark and travis continued anyways. i would have just like have seen more of Carol Heller on this album, because she is featured on a couple of tracks which really bring a nice dynamic to the group (she was supposed to be part of the band but got out for her family). and on a more interesting note about this album, dan the automator played a part, but what album hasn't dan gotten involved with.
