Oh sweet sunshine

Yesterday, I lay in the sun and read a book. This was a good activity, which I highly recommend as long as you wear sunglasses. The book reading occurred after I utterly failed to put together my bicycle. I got fed up and had chain grease all over me, so I put my bike away and gave up. I missed the sun more than I thought I did.

Today, I went to a temp agency to do some tests and register with them. I took a typing test, which was exciting because I was curious to see how well I could type. Apparently, I do 76 wpm with only one mistake, and my job agent was jealous. I also tested for data entry. Hopefully, they will give me some work for a little while.

Career Dreams of the day: become an assistant director trainee. The Director's Guild of America trains 'em up in a program every year. They do one in L.A. and one in N.Y.C., either of which is fine by me, but the L.A. program accepts more applicants AND I'd have free housing including a cat. Basically, assistant directors do the director's bidding and are overworked to make a production happen. I would be really good at this, because I am generally better at helping someone else make their ideas a reality than coming up with my own (i.e. I can edit, but not write).

My friend Nick knows these guys who apparently get paid to read through scripts and discuss what music would be good to place in the finished product. BADASS. I want this job.
