We have had too much going on in our lives. This weekend was just the latest example of how we end up being more tired from our weekends than the weeks.

So things just keep getting added to the todo list. More cleaning and unpacking to come after the generosity of Simon Scott and both sets of parents on moving us in.

The house is nice but already there are plusses and minuses.

Plusses:
The fireplace, the mantle matches a large wood frame mirror I have perfectly.

So, this house thing isn't going so well. I'm not sure we will end up at the finish line on this deal.

The owners accepted the offer begrudgingly but aparently have been snippy with our realtor and lawyer ever since.

We got through the inspection without many issues being found, considering that they crawled all over the house for 3 hours.

We have been trying to attempt to remodel our downstairs powder bathroom over the last month. It is going very slowly and may eventually end up being the slowest remodel on record ever. I don't know how these remodel shows do these things in a few days ( Read more... )

I know I run the risk of alienating a lot of people if I only blog about my wedding and being married, but its kind of what's happening in my life right now. It has been a busy 3 weeks since the wedding. We did get a second offer on the condo yesterday at the last minute and even though they knew there was an offer they were competing against (although they did not know the amount) the offer ended up being exactly the same. So, this makes me think that only the most price consious people are in the market right now since both offers were more than ( Read more... )

Well we did get an offer on Tuesday for my condo. It was 14K below my asking price. We compromised (I really did more of the compromising) and found a verbal agreement price.
