Now that it's a month later, I'll get around to finishing the last few days of my trip to Virginia. It'll be up soon, I promise...
I just needed to say that I have way too many books here to read right now. I'm not complaining, mind you, but it is starting to get slightly intimidating. I keep on going to libraries, forget how much I already have, and get more.
JUST FINISHED:
Thursday Next First Among Sequels By Jasper Fforde
Godless by Pete Hautman
Doctor Who the New Adventures Cat's Cradle: Time's Crucible by Mark Platt
CURRENTLY READING:
The Man With The Golden Torc by Simon R. Green
Only Revolutions by Mark Z. Danielewski (author of House of Leaves, and even crazier than such)
The Emperor of Gondwanaland and other stories by Paul Di Filippo
Wizards edited by Jack Dann and Gardner Dozois
Persepolis the Story of a Childhood by Marjane Satrapi
WAITING TO BE READ
Farewell Summer by Ray Bradbury
Doctor Who The Price of Paradise by Colin Brake
Hume's Fork by Ron Cooper
A Game of Thrones by George R. R. Martin
EDIT: I've just added Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides to this list. I'm currently 20 of 20 holds at the Saint Paul library.
EDIT2: Upon the recommendation of Neil Gaiman (rather, he's reading it right now and enjoys it) I've reserved Lint by Steve Aylett, a fictional biography of a Philip K Dickian SF author.
So if I haven't finished up my Virginia log, this is what I'm doing. Or I'm scraping paint, or sanding, or painting. Or sleeping. I read while I eat. Or I watch the fourth season of Curb Your Enthusiasm, which I also checked out from the library.
