As it happens, there was a book sitting right beside me: Shadow Art, How to Have Fun In the Dark, Create 100 Shadow Animals!
The 56th page has but two sentences, however: 'The swan is one of the most elegant shadow silhouettes, and you can "sail" it along the back of your stage edge in a very stately (Wayne?) manner. The right hand, forming the wing, should disappear behind your left upper arm at the wrist, so that your swan shadow doesn't have any breaks in its overall outline.'

In other news, the local news anchor is rating Inaugural performers on the 'Barack Obama Bop-o-meter.' Stevie Wonder was boppiest, apparently. 'Note the lip-bite,' observed the news anchor.
