Eventful

Ever since my last post I've been drowning in school work [2 presentations and 2 papers all with high weightage] and finally the weekends arrive. You won't believe how relieved I am. So if you haven't seen me online in a long while, no I didn't block you or avoid you, I just haven't been online long enough. Been surviving on 3 hour slumbers to pull me through every day. OHMYGOD. Ugh. One more week and I'll be free!

So besides school, I've managed to squeeze in some social life. Went for a hair cut at Hanavie and I'm totally sold. Some Japanese hair salons in Sydney really turn me off and some charge ridiculous prices but Hanavie was worth every penny. For those who know, my hair has been reaching Sadako standards [aka bangs that are too long] so I let their head stylist do her thing. And because i've been bugged for pics...

BEFORE [with my retro glasses] D:

Here goes it. The hair stylist charged 65AUD but because I'm on referral, it was 50AUD ;D More than what I would spend but Yuka was awesome and everything. We spent half the time squealing about Japanese boys and doramas. It was so much fun ;D The service was top notch too. The moment you go in, it's Ouran style Irraishaimase~ They take your coat and bags for safe keeping, feed you drinks and then flood you with Japanese magazines. It was O_O I felt like a hime-sama ;D Yuka was their top stylist and she had no airs. She personally took care of me from beginning till end, even hair wash/blow dry. And she never stopped apologizing for the littlest things, like when she thought I was Japanese and started gushing in nihon-go while I was left looking like >-< Sumimasen~ Wakarimasen D; Nihon-go wa muzukashi desu >_>

AFTER ;D

Just for reference - the length of my hair now. It used to be below my back D;

Winter makes me want to wear my weirdest things =\ I finally found my beret buried under a pile of crap and yes I'll be wearing it until Spring comes.

And because I was so pleased with my new hairstyle, I went shopping ;D No I didn't spend much. SUPRE was on sale AGAIN. Skirts at 2.50AUD, tops at 5AUD, dresses at 10AUD, coats/jackets at 20AUD. I went to the one in the city and it looked like a hurricane hit all 4 floors. Perhaps I should do a shopping post? But that would make me happy only LOL
Came back and KO-ed for 12 hours straight and it was time for Animania ;D But guess what? I didn't have time to finish my dress sooo I went as a half-assed cannot be bothered Misa D: Met my friends and it was a blast. The place was huge but somehow didn't seem to fill up at any time which was surprising. I would have expected more people considering the fact that SMASH had like throngs of people all the time ;D I had fun nevertheless tho it was expensive =[

I've no idea who she's playing other than the fact that it's a character from Tactics ;D But EVERYTHING from top to bottom, even her shoes and accessories were hand-made~

Misa and her new best friend who also has the Shinigami eyes

Another Tactics team. Not that I'm familiar~

The same Quincy guy I met the other time but this round he's got a gorgeous bow and a hot Ichigo. If you guys remember the Eiji from SMASH, she was there as Matsumoto ;D Sorry for blurry pix D; I really should invest in a better camera or learn how to steady my hand ne? D;

silverharmony and meeko from Reborn ;D Their dance skit was awesome. I was sitting in the middle and so awed ;D HOT! Someone send me the video please? My lousy camera can't see no shit D; I thought I was never going to find them and THANK GOD I DID. Harmony, please sleep. NOW. Sick people should be confined to bedrest ne

Code Geass! So little love this round but so much detail from the few cosplayers. LULU~ I think i've got a thing for the smart evil ones ;D For once I think I like the lead character of an anime. SOMEBODY GIMME R2 NOW! Ugh. Spoilers EVERYWHERE D: I saw a couple of C.C but um... lost them D;

Oh these guys are definitely worth mentioning. I can't remember what anime it was but OHMYGOD every detail down to a T. EVEN REAL STUBBLE ON A GIRL. Plus their weapons were !!!!! They are aiming for the World Cosplay Summit and so deserve to represent Australia. Everything was hand made and nothing was missed. I just kept gaping at the richness of their costumes and props. Seriously. They really gave the rest of the competitors a run for their money. Good luck guys ;D It was a good fight nevertheless.

These two were another pair who were so good but didn't enter the WCS competition. Such a waste, they could have gone to Japan ;D Their characterization was perfect, not to mention their wigs and costumes. Gosh. Plus they were kinda cute ;D Definitely a plus. Oh. They are from Final Fantasy, just in case anyone was curious. Apparently the hair was real. Poor dude, white hair for the week LOL

Sakura Wars with one of their rabid fanboy~

Christine and Rachel ;D

My half-assed incomplete Misa dress. Tutu/tulle skirt, corset, sweetheart neckline and all. Surprisingly wearable. I had on killer boots for 6 hours straight. Plus lace gloves and ponytails. No don't ask me for pictures, my camera died before I could take them. Was aiming for the first pix below but ended up like the 2nd one instead. LOL don't ask me. I'm a useless cosplayer. Had to hide it from my dorm-mates who think I'm crazy.

And now I'm bushed but have to write a 2.5k word essay for Monday. Somebody do it for me please? Or just kill me now. PlsKThxBai /wrist. Ugh. BRB real soon. I hope D;
