Stony Brook State Park
Pretty nice weekend camping. The past two summers there was a lot of rain, but this summer has been pretty good until this weekend. Saturday night we were just getting ready to climb into the tents when it started to sprinkle. We weren't really concerned, I am not sure why, maybe because the forecast didn't call for rain until Sunday. We didn't even have the rain fly staked and we left the canopy up with a ton of stuff under it. So we climb into the tent, and in a little bit the sprinkling turns into rain, and the rain turns into pour, and the pour turns into monsoon. It alternated between a steady rain and down pour from 11 pm until morning. Sleeping in a tent under such conditions is really nerve wracking, I have done it before but it has never lasted the entire night. Sheesh.
